Despite very extensive research using the fossil record and remains of artefacts, it's still unknown whether the Neanderthal people :

  * Used language
  * Used projectile weapons
  * Knew how to produce fire
  * Conducted burials
  * Practiced cannibalism
  * Created symbolic artworks
